So my idle throttle cable broke and I'm trying to find a replacement. The part number I want is N0308.1AK. I found one on Ebay that has part number N0308.1AM. I can see one end is a little different than my broken one but I wondering if it will still work. The "1AM" version has a couple of adjustment nuts whereas the "1AK" does not. Anyone know if they are interchangeable? |

they are different at the throttle body. that being said i bought an 08+ and instead of returning them i modified my throttle plate to make them work on my 07. i think the newer design has a better elbow at the throttle body then i think i broke the plastic end at the grip when putting on my handlebar muffs |

If it's the inner cable that broke you could replace the inner with a new one and a new barrel on one side. Use a soldering iron and clean tin and it's a piece of cake when you take your time! |

ive replaced the cables and reused the jackets before. made a little mold for the barrel ends in my neighbors garage cuz all i had was a shed at the time http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/142 838/711543.html?1368109734 there's also replacement barrel ends, but i feel better about soldered barrels instead of a set screw type ... cuz motorcycles aren't very forgiving if the controls suddenly fail wait, you said idle throttle cable ... do you mean the throttle stop/idle set adjuster or the push/pull throttle cables that run up to the grip? |
