I have leaky fork seas on both sides, I did them a couple of years ago and maybe a thousand miles or so ( been riding my Guzzi's) I have a new set of All Balls, they have a chamfer side which would think would be the side going into the slider? Not sure why the other ones leaked so bad after so few miles. I did tape over everything. They both started leaking about the same time this summer. I hope everyone is staying healthy. |

Also one video I watch said place the seal with the two top lips toward the top, but he isn't clear on if that is assembled to be put on the bike or while putting together when the bottom of the fork is pointing up. |

Not going to be much help, but I took mine to my local HD dealer (they were a Buell dealer). I got all the internals from St. Paul except the dust seals, those were all balls. The local dealer rebuilt my forks. Tech found minor pitting that they sanded out. Haven't had a problem since and it has been a little over 10,000 miles. Hope you get it all worked out. |

According to this article if you have 2 springs it doesn't matter much so I'll go with the bevel side down with the two lip side. |

i usually put in all balls fork seal kits and on the last several ive noticed that the numbers molded into the rubber are visible when installed ... until the retaining snap ring goes in |

I watch that Video and it looks like the All Balls seals. When he says the two seals up is as you are installing them or mounted on the bike which then they would be facing down. |

Based on what I saw and from doing conventional right side up forks, I would say as they're mounted. That would give you two sealing surfaces holding the oil in. |
