A century ago, when this cult was new, it was understandable that the Lies would fool people. Blame the Other for all the evils of the world! That was in part because of numbers. The inevitable result is a competitor that was smaller and weaker had to be Better to win. I never fought less hard in competition against someone because of sex. Or size. That would be unfair to them, and stupid of me. I did help train women. There are differences, mostly in wrist and hip movement. The difference in psychology is controversial, and IMHO less than the difference between individuals. I'm proud some of my students surpassed me and became top level competition. None of that experience tells me that for power sports like weightlifting or swimming that there's not a difference between sexes. That's crazy. There are some women stronger than some men. Duh. But there's a Reason many sports have separate competitions. I don't know the motivation of some of these athletes that deny biology. This entire Gender Madness is messed up. False Fairness is Wrong. | ||

Colorado and California both had massive ad campaigns where the Pols Overpromised the windfall of tax revenues from pot taxes, and set the taxes so high that the consumers preferred cheaper untaxed pot. At least in large enough numbers to get the Legal business to ask for help. I Really hate to say Andrew, the Disgraced Former Governor, was right about anything. ( more than I enjoy using his new title! ) But he was rrr...riii...riiiighhh..correct on this subject. Which just shows how dumb the California politicians are about subjects other than lying to you and cheating on elections. Even the stoners who wake up with a bong and edibles while waiting for the coffee to brew know better than to pay for expensive pot, when their dealer can have it delivered cheaper. Chis sat down, and took a puff, a sip, and proclaimed, "George Bush is an idiot". puff, sip, "Bill Clinton is a rapist" puff, sip, Then said something quite rude about Mother Theresa. I disagreed with Hitchens' political views, almost always, he was openly and aggressively Leftist and Atheist. But he was also a brave reporter who told the Truth about the Taliban and Russia and North Korea, all places he physically went to, actually risking murder and prison with his reporting. He was accepted in where few were tolerated, as a fellow traveler/commie/leftist which gave the tyrants confidence he'd write praise and lies for them, like CNN and the NYT. He did not follow the herd. I still recall his reporting from Afghanistan, where he reported on the swimming pool built by the Russians for their Ambassador's palace on a hill with overlooking Kabul. It's a sad tale of incompetence and cruelty. The Soviets built a lovely palace/fortress/embassy high atop the best view. Richly decorated. Big swimming pool with diving board, luxury fittings, private theater... But Kabul didn't have a water system capable of pumping water up the hill. So all drinking and bathing water has to be trucked up. The pool would have to wait until the infrastructure was upgraded. That never happened. Instead the Taliban won the multi sided civil war as the Soviets withdrew. That covers the incompetence ok. The cruelty came when the Taliban took the embassy, and used the dry swimming pool as one of their entertainment murder torture execution facilities for their opponents. Forcing them to jump off the diving board, then shooting the injured who lived to great amusement. Something to Remember as the Taliban holds, arrests, and murders thousands of hostages abandoned by Joe*. |
