Hey guys, I'm near Nashville, TN and looking for a good exhaust actuator for my new (old) Uly. It's just got 2900 miles on it and is all stock - the original EA crapped out and I ordered a Dorman part - took it to a buddy's shop and I'm pretty sure we welded the crank on in the wrong position. When I plugged it in, it rotated clockwise a quarter rev from where I THOUGHT it was supposed to be...we did a good job tacking it onto the Dorman piece. Although I'm sure I can grind it off and reclock it-at this point I'm thinking a nice used one would be a better fix. Anyone have a good one they'd let go of? THANKS! | ||

I have an exhaust valve actuator S0138.2AAA that I got as a spare with my ‘09 SS. It looks very nice in slightly used condition, I have no idea how well it works, I’ve never installed it to test it. If you are interested, $20 shipped and it is yours. | ||

Michael - I've completely fluffed it up now. I looked in Paypal - saw the title "Michael R Weis" and my working three brain cells short-circuited...telling me that "that's the wrong dude, dude!" So-I opened a "case" with PayPal to get a refund and went back in there to send the funds to "you"...and figured out that I already had sent them - a detail that I'm quite sure PayPal is taking their own sweet time to let you know about. Anyhow - hang tight and don't send that until I figure out that they've actually gotten your money to you. I'm not in a huge hurry and I screwed it up pretty good. According to PP, they've paid you. Can you check in your PayPal account and see if it's made it there? I can probably cancel that refund request - gonna try and do that right now. | ||

No worries at all, man! I'm just happy to get the part...and I appreciate the smokin' deal! That part will be worth it to me even if it's inop...for the extra cable crank. My buddy that welded mine on is a pretty good welder-maybe a little TOO good. LOL Doubt it would have come off easy. I'll drop you a note and let you know it worked out! Just a note for anyone looking to do the Dorman swap. Plug in the unit and cycle the ignition switch to make SURE that the actuator parks where it needs to be. We welded the old cable pull to my new actuator and when I turned the key, it parked with the cable slacked. :-( Ground off the weld and "re-clocked" it and it's all good now! Having that working made a big difference on my bike (stock everything, including ECM...so far) Thanks! |
