One of these will be mine. Hope to get a shipping notification soon. pix530853484 by Slick_Rick77, on Flickr
The "Compac" grip. It's my favorite snubby grip for a waistband gun.
Desantis makes a good holster for the money. Can usually be found at a reasonable price. I'm not delving into a Turkish holster again. Not worth the modest savings.
I'm getting one of these in black:
I'll be selling off all my 357 and 40S&W ammo in mixed lots.
Like I have long said. . . . If you are going to carry and make the decision to employ a firearm . . . You better have 2 rounds down range before your adversary sees you.
The old “holding a gun on each other” is cowboy comedy from the movies.
Seems the SUV driver might deserve a prosecution for assault with deadly vehicle.
The bike rider, otoh, invited being shot by threatening the SUV driver's family.
Don't see any good guys here if the story is accurate.
A gun isn't a magic wand that creates obedience. It's a deadly weapon and openly approaching you with gun in hand in a threatening manner is perfect justification for self defense.
I'll point out they get really upset if you shoot cops pointing guns at you. They have legal authority and protection, which is why they must be held to a higher standard.
Review Sheep, Wolves & Sheepdogs.
I have zip respect for a road rage indulging person swerving to cut off a motorcycle, out of jealousy and self righteous indignation. Not that I approve lane splitting illegally for mere convenience. ( in emergency, do what you must to stay alive, ) btw, it's not legal in NY.
That said, I have on occasion driven out of my lane to block people about to cram into a lane reduction, and can only hope I have the judgement to do so only for life saving, not annoyance. Risky & probably stupid.
And I've blocked idiots trying to pass a school bus discharging passengers. No apologies for that at all. I'll force you to ram me or stop to save lives.
Better to be judged by 12? Yes. There isn't a lot of win in any self defense action, except not being dead & still having living children. But that's Important.
All ye need to know. Another group trying to be something special. We all have the same rights, idiots (depending on your state and local jurisdiction).
I get unnecessarily cut off and passed by pickup drivers around here frequently...and people in large engined sedans always want to race. I'm driving a 100HP econobox. Sorry you find it so threatening
I'd want to do a turbo or engine swap just to stop people from passing me on the right from the turning lane. Being behind a subcompact vehicle appears to threaten their ego and affect their sense of personal security somehow.
I think I could win in a drag race if I launched at 4 grand or so...but they're not worth the clutch wear.
On the highway I've just learned to expect that nobody will move right and larger vehicles will tend to claim the right of way regardless of traffic laws and circumstances.
My wag/theory is that it's a toxic combination of Id & perceived anonymity. Like Internet crud.
Don't get me wrong, I've got a temper, I'm no saint. But I don't threaten people, ever. I don't troll, much. ( you may differ ) And I do try to remember someone driving badly, or aggressively, might be having a bad day, or be lost, or...
My Charter Arms shoots low with all ammos. I can either adjust my sight picture or have it fixed. Not sure which I'm going to do. For now I've gotta place the front sight dot atop the rear sight plane. It's not so bad.
Apparently the ATF is implementing a "one strike" rule for FFL holders that has everyone nervous...as in, one infraction and they pull licenses. I think if you're not deliberately engaging in criminal activity you should get a pass.
