The "pull" cable on my '95 T-bolt broke recently. Thankfully I could raise the idle to 2000 rpm and easily idled home 5 miles! Torque monster! I understand this is the same set (I'll replace both) as a '95 Sportster. But there seem to be different lengths available. Any idea as to what length and specific H-D parts numbers? |

according to my '95 s2 parts catalog: - idle control ass'y is 56309-88 - throttle control ass'y is 56308-88 doing a websearch on the p/n's comes up w/harley sportster cables, so it's likely correct. no lengths given in my parts catalog. hth... (Message edited by rikebider on April 20, 2021) |

My clutch cable is from Motion Pro, no complaints about it. |

My throttle cable seems to be different from those I see listed as Thunderbolt or Sportster cables as mine has the angle piece on both ends, not just on the twistgrip end. The idle cable has a straight carb end, but not the throttle cable, and it needs it to make that bend down to the carb throttle fitting. See pictures. The inner cable is 43.5" and the outer cable (with bends) is 41". |

Here's my throttle cable housing. Note metal angles on BOTH ends!

Here are my cables while still in place to show the required angle end for the throttle cable at the carb end.

my cables on my '95 s2 are slightly bent at the handlebars; straight at the carb. mikuni hsr42 carb, but no new cables were needed when the carb swap was done - same cables used as what was on prior, the keihin cv40. see pics below. you have a ca bike - what carb? from the pics you posted, looks like maybe an early mikuni? is the throttle linkage connection on the left side when looking at the front of the carb? if so, that would explain the difference in cables... the later mikuni's w/linkage on the right, use standard h/d cables; the older mikuni's, w/linkage on the left, use mikuni cables; per mikuni, you'd need to determine whether your carb is pre '96, or 96-'99: http://www.mikunipower.com/CarburetorCatalog2012Digital/MikuniCarburetorCatalog2012.html#p=8 here's a link to an aussie vendor, that indicates a "standard length (38" open)" will fit all pre-'00 mikuni's: https://www.mikunioz.com/shop/mikuni-hsr-early-lh-side-control-push-pull-cables-braidedclear/?v=7516fd43adaa mikuni america website: http://mikunipower.com hth...
