So I had a thought: someday, I'd like to do an M2 scrambler. Kick start, lithium or capacitor "battery," knobby tires, and be able to carry 2 Jerry cans (like saddle bags). Given the Apocalypse and all, I think I'd have to run it on moonshine (ethanol). Besides the usual things like fuel lines and such, what can I do about a carbeurator? Is there such thing as a stainless one? Or a proper conversion kit? I know all about the water and corrosion issues, I'm just curious if a straight ethanol conversion is readily possible. How would such a machine run on E85? |

runnin a motor on ethanol runs cooler and carbs have been set for years to run it. its just a matter of buyin the parts. there used to be alcohol drag cars. even so you would still have to set up a still[ illegal] and rely on grain and sugar producers to make it worth while.. now electric and makin your own charger the only limit would be distance, but for short trips out you could run a genny off a wheel in a creek.I guess the true fix would be to have 2 bikes, lol |

it's all just an idea. I'm sure there's a kickstarter kit out there. Yes, I'd have to make a still, wich would add to the fun of the project. But using the ethanol for fuel means I could use any starches and sugaars I can find. |

That's cool. I never knew that was an option. I used to have a supermoto with a kickstart and it was wonderful never having to worry about the bike not starting from a low battery. I'm not sure how much I'd enjoy kicking over a 1200cc motor. |

that kit is 700 not including shipping to the u s pass... Much better build a bug out with shorster set up where the trans has been cut off and you run a belt to a big twin trans. i got one in the works then you could use a kick 6 spd which are the same price new from ultima.. no need to really use a buell frame or have it nice if its gonna be off road as well. shorster kits are out of nebraska, with good fab skills and tools you might even make it work in a dual sport high travel frame |

Don't have a link.google shortster .They had a complete IH kit ready years ago and were working on an ego kit a few years back so I'm sure its ready. Buell wheels and heads in some sporty evo cases thinking 86to90 was what they were workin with mated to 6speed kick would be a quick scoot. |

What would be good tires for such a thing? Are there knobbies with a super hard compound? |
