I picked up a 2008 XB12X. It has a race ECM (not sure EBR or other) and a Drummer exhaust. I've worked most of the bugs out (bad turn signal ground, etc.) but cannot get the fan to ever turn on. I've tested the fan out of the bike and by ground jumping the pins on the harness when disconnected from the ECM. The fan and wiring work fine. I suspect the issue is either the temp sensor or ECM setting. I cannot get ECMspy to recognize the ECM. I was hoping accessing the ECM and tables might reveal bad on/off fan settings or some other issue. Frustrated... I'm looking for some help or even a pointer to a good Buell XB mechanic in the Phoenix area. I've seen this post https://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/14 2838/770109.html?1446665414 from @Mark_Weiss who seems like exactly the person I need to connect with. But so far no luck finding him. Any suggestions on next steps or local Buell mechanics are very much appreciated. Thanks much.

ECMDroid will do all that very simply and it's free in the GooglePlay store. It connects via a wireless Bluetooth signal so it needs a Bluetoothdongle. I like the one I got from Buelltooth.com it's like $40 and a very valuable diagnostic tool. Theres better instructions on their site Or PM 34nineteen, he has one and is in PHX |

Worse case scenario, Arrowhead HD in Peoria has a factory trained tech named Hank that is very good. They're more than a little pricey though... |
