When I did it, spring side went inside the case. Which simplifies both installing and removing it (installing by pushing on the flat surface, removing by putting two drywall screws through the flat surface further from the bearings). |

Letting houston folk know, Kristen at mancuso's helped me out the other week. We still have a source depending on market for parts in this area. She is at the crossroads store. 290 @ 1960 , I believe. Even with shipping, I can't drive up , order, drive back up to pickup for that kind of money. Not out of angleton, anyway. Just a thought for ya! |

I've been busy moving my Mom out of her house. Packing old stuff and getting house ready for sale. It's all done now, time to play catch-up for everything else that was pushed back during that time. My wife had an emergency appendectomy over the holiday, she's still sore. The bike is good just needs a washing. Trying to give the Jeep a little love. Sounds like you have a $hitty Holiday coming up:P |

Yeah, well thats the way of it. had three colon infections this past year and wife put foot down to get this procedure done and see if we can get a handle on it. We've had several close friends and neighbors pass of colon cancer in the last 7 or 8 years, so it just makes sense to take care of myself. good luck with your moms business and hope your wife recovers well from surgery. Smart man on getting a colonoscopy Sagehawk. It will keep you on that pretty Uly for years to come. Glad to hear you got one. Thanks for the MSR heads-up. If I'm in town and the weather is good, yep, I'm becoming a wuss, , I'll try to be there. It will be on my Indian or Sportster but I'm still a Bueller at heart. |

If you saw the post I just deleted, sorry about that. I was posting about a Bueller fatality that I thought was local; it was not. \<feeling_stupid> (Message edited by jim2 on April 27, 2017) |

Kudo's to you, Sagehawk. Always trying to get Buellers together. I hope you, your wife, and Jim2 are doing well. As you can see I still visit Badweb. Once a Bueller always a Bueller. |

I will never quit that goal, Buellerxt. Am kinda lonely here in angleton. I don't now of any other buellers any more local than lamarque or texas city. Hoot owl is north of houston somewhere and I'm sure there are a few more here and there. Hey, I'm thinking of heading to yankees tavern this sat or next depending on work and weather. Interested? I'm wanting to start riding more and wife isn't interested in riding all day. She is my major riding bud but since wrist and shoulder surgeries, she isn't so interested anymore. Sigh! Job change over a month ago, so no more 500, 600 mile weeks. Also, I can start riding buell to work since no longer going to pasadena. That so sucked! Hope you and fam are doing well! |

Hey guys. I'm doing ok. Been busy working on Jeep to cure the death wobble. Got it fixed now. Need to catch up on house stuff. Haven't ridden at all other than to work and back and haven't done too much of that either. I just looked up the Yankee's Tavern place, it looks like a nice ride. I'm not gonna have time for a long ride this weekend. Maybe around the 4th or so when I have a long weekend. Sorry to hear your wife's hurting Sage. I hope she recovers soon. Thanks for reaching out. |

Glad your doing good Jim2! We doing good. Wife has been my riding bud forever and she is feeling the extra stuff in shoulders. Some neck issues as well. You can't get around a 96 sporster without the vibes , strong clutch and brakes that take 2 hands to operate even with a dual disc setup. I've been getting her to look at fz09 yammie and other bikes that are smoother. Etc. But she doesn't want to give up that 1200. What she really wants is a Polaris 3 wheeler but our budget won't allow for that. A true conundrum as rango would say. Let's see what's going on 4th weekend and maybe get together! |
