Because that shock is good for about 30K miles, better to just bite the bullet and buy a shock that will last the life of your motor. I currently have all of the below on my S3s. I have 75K miles on Penske, 70K on Works, 5K on my newest, the twinmotorcycles.nl. Penske - The best. Smooth and fully adjustable. Call to have them make you one. Works - Excellent shock nearly to the ride as the Penske. Call to have them make you one. twinmotorcycles.nl - Cheapest of the three and still quite good. https://www.twinmotorcycles.nl/webshop/artikel.asp ?mc=1&aid=4323 |

I still recommend them as they last, can be found used, and can still be rebuilt; http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/476 23/812370.html?1503360653 (Message edited by 89rs1200 on June 07, 2022) |

Works is now reborn as Worx Shocks. The founder passed and it took a while for his kids to restart the business and I guess there were legal issues hence the name change. I never dealt with the new company. I bought my shock right before the change. That being said my Works shock made me realize just how lacking the Showa was. http://worxshocks.com/html/street.html |
