I have just bought a Buell X1 lighting with 20,000 miles on it, completely stock. The bike ran unbelievably good when purchased. Now the fuel injectors are clogged, are these able to be cleaned? And now I’m finding that it is really difficult to find these injectors. Is there any chance that there is another injector out there that can be used? I really want to ride this bike. Thank you any advice would be greatly appreciated.} |

Several options. St Paul H-D has new ones in stock. Stunning price, though. Check hot rod places in the area to see who they send injectors to for overhaul. Should be options there. The cylinder size on an X-1 is very close to the cylinder size of a 5.0L Mustang. Erik did not believe in re-inventing the wheel, and used off the shelf parts when available, like a Ford Mustang TPS. Your local auto parts store may be a source. The Motor Company used Buell, from time to time, to field test systems. So fuel injected Sportster parts may be another option. All of the above for future stockpile needs. I would go with Screamer for todays needs. Hope this helps, Dave |

Thank you Dave, this will help to hopefully getting this bike back on the road. The little bit that I rode this bike, it seems like it is going to fun to have. I appreciate it. |
