I go as far as to be polite when I have houseguests, and use other-than-the-main-level when needed. Either the basement (which is my main bathroom, right off the exercise room), or if nobody is going upstairs, the one off the master bedroom. That way the main floor powder room is available for guests.
I don't have a phobia about it, I just have manners.
It's the NRA. The #1 civil rights advocacy organization on the planet. Of course they want civil rights to be upheld.
Any Life Member can tell you what the NRA says, openly, daily, to politicians.
Uphold your Oath to protect & defend the Constitution against all enemies, Foreign & Domestic. Please.
There may be additional comments about the evil child raping Communist Dictator Wannabes who are the enemies of mankind and violate their own sworn Oaths so they can have absolute power and murder American Citizens at will, as their kind have murdered hundreds of millions of the oppressed Subjects in Terrorist State Hells everywhere their murderous scum Comrades have taken power.
It's the Quid pro Quo of, "please don't be a lying murderous monster, and we'll support you".
But I'm biased. I don't want to be sent to a Death Camp. Selfish of me, eh?
Ever since I learned about the New York Times covering up the Genocide in Ukraine, siding with Stalin over the millions he terrorized and murdered, I've figured any political story they printed deserved the same respect a cat gives a feces. I wonder if the paper I wrote on the subject in 1974 is in a box somewhere? It probably sucked.
It makes you wonder how many more of the Times’s leak-based stories are wrong, but go uncorrected.
It's because they're not "leak-based".
They are pure fiction.
"Wait. The President is meeting with the NRA? Make it sound bad. Print it."
I had my comms person who you’ve been talking to send them an email and say, ‘Hey this is not accurate, please take him out of that column.’ I’m shocked she’s gotten crickets so far, which I expect she will continue to get.
Again - because they're making it up.
What's an Amodei? Think they picked him because nobody knows who the hell he is? Figured they could make him out to be the first GOP defector, and nobody (including him) would notice?
It probably sucked.
I'm gonna gamble here, but it's probably better-written and better-researched and better-documented than anything the MSM has put out in the last..oh...dozen years or so.
Researched & documented, sure. My writing has improved, although I'm still verbose and give unnecessary explanations. Meaning I use too many words when just a few would do, a common problem for folk with ADD, Attention Deficit Disorder, which is a condition...
The State Owned Media in China dares not report that The Bad Orange Man publicly asked the Chicom dictatorship to investigate corruption of their minions and Joe Biden.
Sorta like the New York Times dares not report on lower unemployment for minorities that were promised eternal poverty by Obama.
The reasons are similar.
The difference is the Chinese Elites have ruled by terror since WW2, and know if their control slips an unleashed billion victims can bury them with human waves from all directions, and despite tanks and troops surrounding their centers of power.
Marches in Hong Kong are the warm up. Far from the Imperial palace, they are something to be oppressed, hidden, punished. But if that happens in Beijing, with the despots right down the street, a miscalculation in crowd control & spin could result in their precious hides being in real danger.
So for those of you keeping track of all the precious norms violated by the Resistance Media, you can now add the New York Times championing the idea of the American people being ruled by people we do not know, have not elected, and cannot remove from office.
