Ok, I plan on hitting up my service manual, as I have not had the need to tear down my engine (thank goodness) What are these screws at the base of the jugs? My very farthest forward screw is seeping oil. Is this something I can pull and add/replace gasket, washer or just tighten? That's the last place my engine is seeping oil as I have solved all others. Thank you, that is what I needed to know. At least I can refer to them properly when searching for oil seepage. From what I can tell, they may have come with some blue loctite. But I may have to clean up that front one and give it a twist to see if I can just tighten it up. Thanks again! | ||

I just put a new one in and the leakage went away, and yes the factory did have some kind of coating on them. We called them anti rotation pins | ||

Thread sealant paste. Same stuff that is recommended for gearbox and engine oil drains. Nothing will fall, but don't turn the crank to avoid riding a cam follower rotating. They should be easy out and in. |
