Michelin Pilot Road. I used them since the 2's came out and will put them on my EBR when it's time.

+1 on the Pilot Powers ( I run them...on the street))...I do hear good things about the new Dunlops (Q3)...if you do track days go with the Dunlops...they seem to be "softer" and give more confidence on the track...run my Pilots at 38psi(R), 34psi(F)...might check out some Revzilla Youtube reviews before you buy...

Q3s are tremendous tires. They suit my riding habits and style very well. Mileage will probably not be what you are looking for however they are multi compound on the rear.

The Michelins are great tires albeit expensive.

Bridgestone T31 tires are really nice, good handling, good grip AND they last a long time, much longer than Bridgestone tires of old AND they are about the cheapest top shelf tire you can find AND bridgestonerewards.com often has $60. rebates per pair (the current promotion just ended on 4/30 :-() AND americanmototire.com has the best prices I've been able to find anywhere on all brands.

Pilot Roads of the current variety.

I used to get 10k-12k miles on the Road 2/3s, and I might have done a track day or two on them as well. Not recommended.

But they'll handle anything the street throws at you, year round, and you'll get an awful lot of miles on them. They also grip snow/ice better than any motorcycle tire has any business doing.

Funny, I asked similar on here or another (gun/firearm) board a bit back.
WHat multiple said, and what I got and will recommend - Michelin Pilot Roads

Im like you = 1125R, I like to ride sportingly, but I dont go super fast or take corners super hard etc.
I ride to work and to dinner and just for fun. Mileage being more important than maximum grip.

Ive really liked the Pilot Road tires, put about 800 miles on them so far, if I had to estimate. And never once have I felt like I was overriding the tire or anything. It was cheaper than a Pilot Power, and should last quite a bit longer too!

Pilot Road 5's on the XBStt have been the best grip/longest mileage tire I've ever used. I am at 6000 miles and they look NEW: )
