When I push on it to check belt deflection it squeaks. Is it time to change it before it tears or is there a spray (like silicone) I could use to lengthen it's life or quiet it some? No sign of dryrot/cracks. TIA |

I had a squeak that occurred from 0-20 and from 20-0. I thought the same thing...belt. Turned out to be a worn out front sprocket. With a bright light, deflect the belt side to side and see if your belt's front sprocket is walking around on your final drive shaft. You'll need to lift your rear wheel off the ground. Nice X1. Used to live southeast of you and I know all about SR555! |

Out-put shaft of trans striping out belt font sprocket. The wobble causes Squeak. |

Jim’s MegaNut fixes it. There’s a solution on eBay that’s a good bit cheaper. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F332677583050
