09 rear header O2 sensor stock one has a long wire, I got factory replacement part number P0277.5AA witch has short wires. Should I look for a different one or splice the wire to make it longer? All the help I can get on this will be appreciated! |

Haven't done it on a Buell but I've cut and extended O2 sensor wires before. Needs to be pro quality soldering... |

Yes you can splice it. You can use the original wire to extend it. You all so can get the O2 sensor at you local auto parts store, with the longer wire. I got mine at O'reilly's. They come with different wire lengths for the same sensor. They use the part # on the sensor to look it up in their system. (Message edited by willmrx on July 31, 2019) |
