I want to add auxiliary driving lights to my 2008 XB12X. There are many lights to choose from. The problem I'm having is finding light mounts. Before I fabricate my own mounts, I want to ask if there are any available for the Uly? |

Have you looked for Uly parts ? Or do you want others to do your work for you ? I have HID bulbs on my XB12s (both sides)... These are all that's needed to light the road very nicely, even to 100+mph. No over driving these...AND, no extra junk hanging off the bike. Mike |

Mike, I looked for Uly parts but didn't find anything. I'm looking for help from others who added lights. This is a discussion forum, you know. |

I hacked one together from aluminum bar stock right from Lowes. I took off the beak and traced the holes for the spacing. So the beak is on top of the bar with the original screws holding it all together. I didn't really measure anything so it's kind of crooked. (No one else sees it but I know it's there!) For the wiring, I hooked them to a little relay slaved to my high beam wire. I'll probably redo it soonish since LEDs are so cheap and good now. I could use that 110W for something else. |

I don't know of anyone that still makes light bars. There were a few offered on here by other members years ago like the GME light bar http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/142 838/307592.html Mikef5000 made his own from angled steel - http://www.mikef5000.com/ulysses-lights-and-fender .html |

I just received a light bar mount from this company in England. Not too bad a price and the shipping was quick. Very nice powdercoating on the black option and nicely machined. I highly recommend this product. He has a few different Buell specialty parts available. http://palmerproducts.co.uk/ |

An outfit called Kapsco Moto sells a running light mount for cheap. By slightly elongating the mounting holes it will bolt up nicely. |
