I replaced the clutch on my S3T and had to replace the primary case as well... because the last owner had everything insanely overtight(I couldn't get the chain inspection cover off, bolts were a b*tch, and even the oil filter was mangled after needing a monkey wrench to remove). Since then I CAN NOT get the main bolt for the shifter linkage to stay in the bike (long, only partially threaded bolt). I've tried everything... 2 Blue loctite and now even high temp RED loctite didnt work. I'm at a loss... before I JB Weld and sell this thing, can someone please tell me what is happening? THANK YOU! - Calvin |

Remove the bolt and inspect the threads. A helicoil may be the answer. Hope this helps, Dave |

I recommend the same. You could also jB weld it completely. Drill and retap it correctly. |
