Probably not Stealth. Animated gifs would irritate readers I'm sure. Although I'm with you on the transparency thing though. I've embedded a different thumbnail in my JPEG but it only works for a little while. The BBS software makes it's own thumbnail after a short while. |

Just seeing if it works. Although the 100x97 image in my profile looks better than this one? And there is no beige bottom frame at the bottom like here. Maybe if not 100x100 exactly somethings happens. See me talking to myself? Now it is 100x100. Still a scrunched image with beige border at bottom. Oh well. Now it looks OK. Cool. How ...step by step... with no technical words... do I get a pic from "my pictures" on my c drive, to "my profile" on the board? Yes, I am a frustrated computer idiot. |

Edit your profile (click on link at top right of page) then find the picture section and click "browse" and then navigate your hard drive to your pic and select it. |

Sportsman, the picture needs to follow a few rules as well. 1) It has to be a JPEG, this is what most digital cameras will create by default. 2) It needs to be under some fixed size... I forget how much, maybe 60k bytes? There are tools to make them smaller in size without changing much else. If you need help, and can email pictures, feel free to send me one, and I can set it up to be all ready to post (Bill at KilgallonFamily dot com) |

It must be too big. It just kicks out to "cannot find server". I'm going to fool with it awhile, but you might get mail Reep. Thanks in advance. |

Interesting. "cannot find server" is not a problem with file size. Is the file on your local hard drive? Do you have aggressive security software running, like an application firewall of some sort? Any chance you have a spyware infestation? |

If you can stand the cyber punk genera, go pick up a copy of "Snow Crash" by William Gibson, that'll give you the best understanding. Gets a little weird in places, but it is a good read if like that kind of stuff. |

They are probably cached by your browser. Bring up the web page, hold down the shift button, and hit your browsers refresh button. Or go to your browsers internet options page and clear out image caches. |
