Need more info. Has it been sitting for some time, have you had any other issues with it before, how many miles on it? What do you mean by sparks? |

Hi, Thanks for taking the time. It has 5000 miles. It has been sitting there for a little while but was starting it and charging the battery. It took it on a small trip 100 miles, no issues beside a few hesitations 4 or 5 times. No codes, all is working. it tries to start but like no gasoline is making it happen. Tank is full.... Can it be the spark plugs??? Thank you for your help. |

It can be many things, but you're not giving us any clues. We are not there. If it isn't starting, you have either an ignition fault or a fuel fault. You have to check .......we cannot. If you don't know how, we cannot teach you on this forum and you most likely will not have the correct tools. Call a mechanic. |

Try starting with the basics check fusses and relays. Make sure to use a multi meter on the fusses. |

do you hear the fuel pump cycle when you turn the key on? Look at the top of the page here -> use the "Google Buell 1125R Forum" to search previous posts. its very helpful. i've used it countless time. - an example: type in "fuel pump" and you'll get tons of links on info regarding fuel pump replacement/ diagnostics, etc |

How old is the battery? Take it to an auto parts store and have it tested. It may not have enough cranking power to turn over the engine AND power the ignition, ecu, and pump. If it passes a test...you may need a volt meter to help troubleshoot the issue |

You need fuel, spark, and compression for an engine to run. Compression and cam timing usually are not a concern from a bike of known character so I would rule out fuel and spark first before checking for any mechanical issues. Pull the air filter off and squirt some starter fluid down the intake while the butterflies are open. If it attempts to start or starts and dies then you have fuel delivery problem. If it make no attempt to start at all then probably a spark problem. Once you narrow it down, there will be a whole new set of checks to run. |
