Hi everybody, a long time lurker and owner of one x1 1999 model with a bit of a problem..

I would really appreciate if someone could send me some ECU roms and fuel maps? I have an european version 1999 model, so the BUEKA120 files will not flash, at least without heavy modification which I hope to avoid.

The bike has a race ECU, Vance/Hines exhaust and a K&N cone filter, but right now the bike wont run so even a stock baseline would be fine.

I do have the ecmspy program and the cable, but just getting started with it so lots to learn.

Thanks for reading, hopefully u guys can help out a bit?

Just some thoughts . . .

The fuel maps are pretty bullet proof. They are there, and stay there unless/until they are deliberately changed, or the ECU gets physically damaged.

So, if the engine, as currently configured, has ever run, and especially if it ever ran well, I would suggest the problem Is Not the fuel map.

In no particular order, confirm that the following parts/systems are working as they should - ignition, cam position sensor, battery, grounds, fuel pump and fuel pressure, fuel injectors, ignition switch and stop/run switch, the safety interlocks ( side stand switch, clutch switch, neutral switch ), ect. Is there corrosion on the fuse and relay blades, and is there corrosion on the ECU pins and plugs . . .

The calendar can be every bit as damaging as abuse or neglect - your machine is 20yrs old, so lots of small things can add up to be major problems. And, IMHO, the factory service manual is a must.

Don't mean to be so generic, but the fuel maps usually don't get corrupted without actual outside effort. The issue is most likely somewhere else.

Hope this helps, Dave
