My 06 Uly was running rough. Coughing, sputtering at low rpm and lacking punch. I did a tps reset and still the same. I cleaned the ground wires I could easily access and nothing changed. One evening I noticed the headlights get bright and go back to normal. By the time I got home there wasn't enough power to work the directional, but it still got me home. After doing some quick bad web research I was able to determine the stator and 77 plug were OK and I needed a new regulator. Over $200 at Precision Harley and not in stock. This is where the thanks comes in. I search this place and find my solution is a Mosfet regulator. Instead of $200 and god knows how long it was $60 and two days from Racetec/Amazon. Made the bracket waiting for the regulator and just used the wire harness cut off the old one and had it together for the Labor Day weekend. Also put in new plugs and another tps reset and the old swiss army bike is running like new. I really like this bike when she runs this good. So to all those who did the work so I could just do a quick search for the solution.... THANK YOU |
