Hello! Can't find rear brake rotor and driven sprocket removal and assembly procedure in the shop manual - anyone could please tell me what section is it in? Thank you! |

Section 2-20 in my 2006 Lightning book. It doesn't say much. Disassembly:

Thank you Froggy, I found that in my book too, but it's page 2-33 for Uly. Torque values are the same though. Thanks again! |

Note: I did not use new fasteners when replacing the rear wheel on my bike. Not saying that you should reuse them but if you do decide to reuse the screws. Clean the screw threads, apply blue or red loctite, install then torque to spec. |

don't use red. I used blue Loctite on mine and broke the tip off of a torx bit the next time I swapped pulleys. welded a nut to the bolt head to extract it. PO used red Loctite on the front brake bolts. that was a real PITA ... I guess they thought that the brake pads would never need to be changed again, or fork seals either. |

A little heat (from a hair dryer or hot air gun) will help soften the red Loctite and make it a whole lot easier to loosen the bolts. |

Thanks, but I am getting a spare rim (from someone who did a 3-bearing upgrade) and will be putting a new (or used if I can find it cheap) rotor and pulley - will have to use new bolts anyways. |

Since this is a wheel thread: I have a 2006 Ulysses rear 2 bearing wheel. Make me an offer + shipping. |

Yan, BG Powersports near Edmonton, AB has a pulley among other Uly parts. I've had good dealings with them. They combine shipping for multiple items, too. https://www.ebay.ca/itm/EB352-2009-09-BUELL-XB12-X -ULYSSES-REAR-SPROCKET-PULLER-65T/302538265853?has h=item4670af94fd:g:~CkAAOSwTQtaFGGy |
