I did stupid and hit the ground not injured beyond my pride getting severely bruised but thanks to the right frame puck only minor scratches on hand/wind guard mirror and right side scoop, but the frame puck fell off when I tried to straiten it. could use all those items but really want a frame puck from a SS STT or ULY |

You can re-attach it with a good quality two-sided automotive trim tape, providing that the puck isn't too scarred up for your personal aesthetic, or damaged (check the impact absorbing foam inside). Use rubbing alcohol to both remove the old adhesive and clean the surfaces for the new adhesive. Let it dry and apply the tape to the puck first, then carefully apply it. If you stick it in the wrong spot, spraying alcohol should help release the adhesive. My right puck fell off in the hot sun a good four years ago, and I re-attached it in this manner. It's still firmly fixed, and has since done its duty many times protecting the frame from dirt naps. (Message edited by dtaylor on May 05, 2018) |
