Good condition Buell Ulysses Triple Tail Bag backpack (97020-08Y) with rain cover (97021-08Y). I bought this used but never used it. Only flaw is that there is a small tear in the material where the triple tail inserts into the bag. It doesn’t look like it will affect function if the bag is installed correctly on the tail as the holding strap is fully functional. $80 shipped. I prefer PayPal goods for payment.

I received a PM from Tleighbell earlier this morning saying he will take it. If deal falls through, then Phelan is next in line. |

I was thinking of getting one of these. I am surprised that, what I would think is a preferred mounting option, is not supported:
It seems Buell intended the triple tail to be used in what the bag manuf. considers an incorrect position. Otherwise, Buell likely would not have designed in this range of motion. What is the issue mounting it this way? Note, the cargo is on top of triple tail and not hanging below which would clearly be a problem! |

The issue is when the tail is in the up position and the backpack is facing the back. Meaning the weight or bulk of the bag is hanging off the back and not supported by the seat. I believe this is how they tear. |

It also really screws with the handling and load carrying capacity. |
