I know the OEM shock had a recall/upgrade form the 16" to the 14.7" rear shock with included the upgraded shorter front shock mount. This upgrade has benefits when upgrading to the shorter OEM shock. But, is there any benefit in upgrading the front mount to the shorter bracket when upgrading to an aftermarket shock? Or is the shock length irrelevant at that point? |

Actually the bracket for the 14.7" shock is longer than the bracket for the 16.5" shock. To answer your question, no advantage to either mount whwn ordering a new aftermarket shock. Save yourself the work and order for your currently mounted shock bracket. |

Thanks for the correction and quick reply. The shorter shock would need a longer bracket to make up the difference. I will be ordering the 16.5" shock. |
