sub-sections for each section ie... XB-performance mods or XB-Mechanical Issues, or XB-Recall List, or XB-wheels and tires, or XB-accesories |

Sorry Blake for not being clear. I meant the ones you see once you enter a specific sponsor area. The banner is shown twice above the discussion thread, but just as a non-clickable banner. IMO, one is enough and if that banner can take you to the sponsors' site that would be very handy. |

Yes, that is still part of the title that gets duplicated on the page itself, just like at the top of this page. Jeremy, Please use the Knowledge Vault for technical issues. Please tell the rest of the XBoard crew to do likewise. |

Maybe I missed it, but is there an icon or link to click to notify moderators of a particular thread or posting? |

I'm sure you've seen it on other forums -- not sure if your software supports it, but either a single link or button at the top/bottom of the page -- something like "notify moderators", or a button in each post (much like the edit, delete, view/check IP and move buttons that already exist) that can be clicked to notify moderators of an urgent situation (or improper forum usage)... |

personally i think the knowledge vault is a little overcrowded with a lot of information for many different buells, my suggestion was basically to have subsections like that for each type of buell rather than one big glob of info that you spend hours digging through to find something for a particular buell rather than the whole lineup. thanks anyway it was worth a shot. |

Steve-O, Do you mean a button like this one found on a different non-bike UBB based discussion site? You can always right-click on the little cassette-looking icon above the poster's name for a direct link address to any postings in quesiton and forward those to various moderators. But the hot-button is generally sent outside of the public's view. |

No, we don't have such a feature. Neat idea though. I've not seen it before. |

jer -- most of the KV is tuber stuff, and you may have noticed that the rate of posts is delcining in that area (which makes sense) -- many of the topics for an S2 apply to other bikes -- the tubers have a great deal in common, and the differences aren't much, specially when talking about engine/suspension performance -- XB stuff is in, well, in the XB thread, in the main (not tryin to be a smartaa$$, just comes naturally, I spose) -- I'm sure an on the ball XB rider will someday organize it along the lines of the KV, or, perhaps, the Thumper thread, which seems to be like a mini Badwed all on it's own . . . . |

Why so many more "custodians" and why so secretive about it?? Mike. |

I'm not sure that putting the names and e-mail address of all the custodians right at the top of the page is very secret. Then number of custodians, just guessing since it's Blake's board, is fairly small....less than 1% of the group and is intended to provide some broad base and also to have someone, somewhere in the world, who can fix, or recently referee, things at all times. Basically, I think it came down to "many hands makes light work", and we also wanted a little more diversity in the custodian pool. |

Secretive was a poor choice of words. What I meant was there should have been a big announcement so we can all "meet" the new custodians! Mike. |

Is there a way to make posts wrap at a fixed length to prevent the really long posts which make them run off my screen? I know I had to learn about this by trial and error and I see different sections with a real variety of screen widths. ?? |

Greg; sometimes large (or wide really) pictures forces the page width up. Short of changing the picture size, I don't think there is much to do about it. If there are no pictures however, I can (Mac using Safari) scale the window and the text will re-wrap. Henrik |

Just a note to thank you for the new classified format. It really makes searching quick and easy. |

Blake - I won't pretend to know what's involved, but is a chat room on this site possible? |

I hope not. We have tried chat on side boards and they quickly die. |
