Green day is ok I never really got into em to much..I just have a love for harder music (i.e Hate Breed and Biohazard). Although some of my favorite bands are Misfits,Dropkick Murphys,Flogging Molly,Cypress Hill,Rancid,Social D,Mindless Self Indulgence, Kidney Thieves, Voodoo Glow Skulls,Aqua Bats and of course "The man in black" Johnny Cash

Or maybe I'm just getting old.

Now you know.

I beg to differ but Beat the Meetles, pardon, The White Album would have to be the best.

The best? too much taste involved.
Great though! that's easy.

Heart "Desire Walks on" ... some bubblegum, but good bubblegum, and the title cut & Back in Black2 are worth the cd price alone. Ann Wilson is the underrated Diva of rock.

Aimee Allen's "unreleased" cd. Anything by The Beatles, ....... etc.

Of course I had a big argument with the 19 yr. old when he insisted some '80's band was the original "death metal". The neighbors had a temporary respite from NIN while Black Sabbath proved my point.

Tomoyasu Hotei - Battle Without Honor Or Humanity from "Kill Bill" Short, but good for twisties.

Heard a cut off the Green Day Album, sounds good, Personally I love the Guitar gods, from Yardbirds( and all it's cast-a ways ) Hendrix, Stevie Ray, and the like, but My personal favorite is Skynyrd thru '77, album... "One more (for) from the road"

JDbuell and Phatkid you both have truly great taste in music. I am surprised someone mentioned Suicidal Tendencies but institionalized is still one of the coolest songs ever and Gotta Kill Captain Stupid is a great song about those who lack common sense.
You guys forgot to mention Tool. BTW the new APC cd sucks so bad. I took it back already and it just came out yesterday. I hate to see Green Day get so political b/c I always listened to Dookie way back in the day.

Some more good headbangin' bands are Megadeath, Atreyu, Drowning Pool, Pantera which spawned two other greats damage Plan and Superjoint Ritual, Unearth, And Black Label Society among others. Metal rocks!
Don't forget Kiddie Punk sucks!

You can say that twice. I was rather annoyed when Rancid's new album came out and in the video they had those morons from Good Charlote in the video. All these new bands that call themselves "punk" makes me wanna puke.

Oh ya if anyone like the rock rap sound try out Bionic Jive and their album is called Armagedon though your speakers. I think you can listen to most of the album on there web site.

Has anyone mentioned Dr Feelgood yet?

The late & very lamented Lee Brilleaux is much missed.

By the way bought the new Steve Earle album yesterday but haven't had time to listen yet, review later this week.

As promised.

Steve Earle, The Revolution Starts NOW.

What a treat! If you like good well crafted songs with a meaning, you'll love this album. I think it's the best thing he's done for ages. Never mind the political views, the sound is just great.
You can easily imagine yourself in bar somewhere watching him perform this live behind the chicken wire.
Treat your ears listen to this LOUD!
