I somehow ended up with too many bikes. A First World Problem... 02 X1W, 18-19,000 miles, race kit, Jet Hot on header, Corbin seat with ball job, carbon tank accents, inverted clip ons, Emgo Gran Tourismo grips, Napoleon bar end, Michelin Pilot Road tires, Ferodo pads, stainless hardware, alloy dash, Buell alloy pegs, recent Yuasa battery, some other junk I'm probably forgetting. Needs rear shock, otherwise good to go. Not perfect but not bad, either. Never down, reliable bike. $3500, Central PA PA.

Be still, my heart... I'll probably end up selling it, go "that was stupid" and buy another one and do the exact same thing. Again! |

I have a new, old, stock remote res shock if you'd like, maybe it will help with the sale of your gorgeous X1 Steve. |

Littlebuggles, PM sent. I think with the closure of EBR I should hang onto this bike. Nobody built things that were more fun to ride than Erik did. |

I don't blame you, huge bummer about EBR being in the ditch again! Pm responded to with a like pm, and I have a thread in the parts section: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/21/ 800696.html |

Seriously? $2,500 and you still have it. I'm clearly on the wrong side of the border. Beautiful bike. |

You and that V-Rod ought to get married. Got a "new" shock on it so it handles properly and I put some miles on it. What it needs is rear base gasket, Zipper's pushrod tubes (or similar) and counter shaft sprocket seal. |

If I keep it, that's fine, too. I enjoy riding it although it certainly doesn't like to go slow on the back roads around here. 70 and up is where it wants to run. Good thing there aren't many deer in this area. |

Three final pics taken earlier today in all it's unwashed glory. When my original shock crapped out I had the wife on the back and a soft bag rubbed against the rim which really pissed me off.

Steve, you'll regret selling this bike. I sold my X1 a couple of years ago on an impulse to try a BMW boxer and the novelty has already worn off. The weird part was it sold so quickly - 3 days and out of state buyer, that I didn't even get a chance to change my mind. And your bike is hell of a lot nicer than mine and less money. Go figure. Good luck with whatever you decide. |

Kalali, I do believe you're right. I woke up this morning and the first thing I thought about was a tube frame Buell. Must have been dreaming about motorcycles. Moderator, Please remove this ad, no longer for sale at any price. This one goes to retirement with me. I'd be lost without one of these old monsters. |

Glad to see that. Special edition last year model bike from a caring/knowledgable owner is like money in the bank...or maybe even and heirloom piece...Keep it as long as you have the space and don't need the money. Enjoy. |

I had this one out today and it never fails to make me smile, it's quite the maniac's motorcycle! Time to blow some cobwebs out and give it an oil change. |

Hello, Did you end up keeping the bike, or is it still for sale? Wasn't sure if your post was a joke or serious. Please let me know. Thanks. |

Looks like shipping charges were a bit much for Raincitybuell. Anybody else? I've made a commitment to buying yet another Triumph so need to move something. |

Sorry Steve, didn't mean to disappear on you. Just had some near-crises to deal with. Hoping to get those resolved by the end of next week. If you sell it in the mean time, well, shucks. |

Okay, I'll be on a motorcycle trip next week as is the lady I'm getting the Triumph from so it'll all work out. I rode this around a bit yesterday to blow the cobwebs out, it certainly does enjoy a bit of throttle, ha, ha. I'll poke around some and will include a fairly large box of X1 parts with it for you. Take offs and spares and manuals. |
