Vegas, VSI Yuma was the sponsor for the BTX. I think he must've taken it in the shorts on that particular event, poor turnout, but he said he's not sorry. I think he needed more advertising. I think the dealer would be smart to sponsor, line up all his bikes out there and advertise like no tomorrow. Have a great ride this weekend guys. I pussed out and opted to hop in with some other Yuma students vice riding home. That pass is getting really cold! |

Thanks Charlie. Sounds (and looks) like you guys had a real hoot despite the turnout. I agree, if we do it here, we'll advertise the crap out of it! OK: Who was on 60 East heading out of Wikieup today? Two XB's looked like a 12 and a 9. I also so a black XB near the airport I was turning up College drive or something like that trying to get back to 10 from the airport. Funny, when I am in the car I see Buell riders everywhere! Catch you guys later, Nick |

M1... right now, she is pretty down while waiting on answers. This "thing" goes back almost a year. She has always been real vibrant, full of life kindo of person. Modeling, dancing, really out going. Around January, she started hurting, mainly in her feet, then she started swelling up around her feet and ankles. A local doc said she had rheumatoid arthritis and started her on a chemotherapy type treatment. After going through all that, nothing was better, in fact many things are worse. So now.. she is down there and they have done a myriad of tests. They did find some abnormalties in her bloodwork, and something in her stomach that they did a biopsy of. Next week, brings more bloodwork, MRI's and some other things. By the way, thanks for asking! I'll let her know ..that will cheer her up some I am sure. Nick |

For some reason just saying "good luck with it" doesn't sound right... She'll be in my prayers. |

Thanks man. I told her tonight that all these people were asking about here and sending well wishes. That boosted her spirits some. Jake's wife has been calling her some and that has helped too. Thanks again, Nick |

Nick, My thoughts and prayers go out to you, and your wife. Having been in and out of the hospital more than I wish in the last 3 years, I know what it can be like. Her symptoms sound very much like mine did when I was first diagnosed with STILLS disease. You may want to look into it. May god bless her. Bart |

I was commuting home today from Phoenix to Tucson on the lonely stretch of I-10. It's a pretty boring 100 mile or so straight away with a 75 mph speed limit. The sun was going down along with the temp, which was probably around 55. Anyhow, I was cruisin' in the fast lane around 85 when I spotted a little light in my rear view closing in. I said to myself, "Bike...better move out his way..." and sure enough, a red XB12R ...WFO! Right behind it were two more cars riding his •••. I jumped back in the fast lane to give chase, but I gave up after running at 100 and these guys were still pulling away. The first exit into Tucson has a couple of gas stations and I needed to top off. I was hoping to catch the mysterious Bueller since I figured he was low on petrol too. Sure enough, when I pulled into the gas station the red 'bolt was being fueled up...by a girl! Yep, the mystery hooligan that flew past me at 100+ was female. I'm not being sexist or anything but DANG! I didn't expect to see a girl! Turns out she had rolled in all the way in from Vegas (about 6-7 hrs by car!). She was kinda shocked to hear I knew what a Buell was, never mind that I even rode one! I chatted with her a bit and gave her the badweb address. I wished her well, then she was off up the on ramp, flying away. Just goes to show you that you meet the nicest people on a Buell! |

Tucson: Dang bro! That's awesome! Wished you could have put in a plug for us Vegas riders. We are trying to grow the numbers here. The rest of yuse: I just got off the phone with my wife. She was truly moved by the well wishes, prayers and hopeful thoughts. We both really appreciate it. I don't know what to say. At 36 this is the first time that I have truly ever had to deal with the sickness of a mate. She is only 38 and aside from a really bad incident in her 20's this is the first time she has ever really been sick like this as well. I urge all of you to make every minute of time with your mate worth all that you can. Thanks again guys. Nick |

Vbueller, tell your wife there's even a girl in Iowa wishing her well. Tell her to hang in there & I hope she gets some answers after having the tests done that you had mentioned. You hang in there too, it's not easy being in your shoes either. |

Brian, Interested to find out if your faring brackets fit for the Jardine ... I went over the the dealer & looked at the new brackets. If we got the right one positioned right, then it appeared to be about 1/2" too short. I haven't heard anything from the dealer as to whether they went on or not, but let me know how yours worked out. |

I had the pleasure of meeting one of Arizona's finest motorcycle police officers yesterday morning on my way to the Reserve Center, and "boy was he p!ssed off". He never did tell me how fast I was going but did say he would remember me and if he caught me again he would book me.....LOL (No Ticket, just a very harsh verbal warning) "Ride it till it seizes" Ski |

Just dropped off the bike for the install of my new rear tire, the Jardine, oil change, and tranny fluid change. Figured I'd knock out most of my 10k service at 9k! Al turned me on to a little shop that works on Harley's but one of their mechanics is real Buell friendly. Has a blue Bolt. We'll see how the chin fairing bolts on. I'll be getting my bike back tomorrow. Liz, the brackets I got with the kit were both steel and painted or powdercoated black. Do they sound like the ones you've got? I can't wait. It'll be like a brand new bike all over again! |
