Spray a little oil in the lock and look for debris. Then gently wiggle the key in and out. Hopefully it's just a little rust or dirt. Do not force it unless you intend to leave the key in the lock because that's where it will stay. eBay or others may have a full lock set for you but I would just do the ignition key. The steering lock is a bit involved. |

It sounds like the little spring pins aren't moving. Have you tried graphite lock lube? Little graphite particles in a suspension of some solvent that evaporates. Perhaps a couple drops of diesel would work. That stuff is "creepy". |

That sucks. Locks don't last forever. Usually by the time it get to this state it is too late. you can try WD40 and compressed air. But it might be time for a replacement. https://www.ebay.com/itm/2002-BUELL-M2-CYCLONE-OEM -LOCK-SET-IGNITION-COMPLETE-SEE-DESC-XB8/302483488 403?fits=Make%3ABuell%7CModel%3ACyclone&hash=item4 66d6bbe93:g:6MIAAOSwc1FZ3QQ4&vxp=mtr |

The H-D shop can sell you a flat-key switch that fits right in. You will have to solder your connector to it. |
