Well, I bought an '03 Suzuki SV1000S today. It was still in the box this morning. We negotiated an excellent price and I ordered some accessories (fairing lowers, hugger, license plate relocator, gel seat, etc.) for 15% over his cost. The accessories worked out to be about 35% off retail. It was a nice 115 mile ride home on that copper bike. It's not the Ducati, but, my right hand never fell asleep and it's an awesome bike. It's THE package for an all-around adult sport bike. Plenty quick and agile, comfortable, smooth, stable, and does it all. Great bike. Now, it's not my XB either. That fun, playful bike will stay to keep my inner demons at bay. It has way too much character to give up. The Suzuki is a great alternative to a VFR. The Buell, is, well, it's the Buell. You know what I mean. Mark Never Give Up! PS. I sold my '01 Ducati 748S a couple of weeks ago. It just wasn't any fun unless I was riding like an a-hole on the street or spending time on the track (something I haven't done in over 2 years). |

XB9srider, Me too man...I got an '03 SV1000S but silver. Suggestions I would make are the factory fender eliminator, zero gravity smoke windscreen, and an K/N filter...also take the snorkel out of the airbox for some extra noise and character. |

Thanks Matt! I have the Suzuki fender eliminator, fairing lowers, sliders, gel seat, and rear hugger ordered. They gave me a really good deal on parts. I also plan on getting a Zero Gravity Double Bubble dark smoke windscreen, Yoshimura TRS street baffle bolt ons and possibly Heli Bars. It's a great bike. Really overlooked by the magazines. Never Give Up! |

Goodluck with the new bike. I love the style, power and how nice the SV`s shift. They never seemed to hit it off big in this area for some strange reason. The dealers here are offering incredible deals on them. For the money i don`t think you can find a better v-twin sportbike. |
