Al, I was wondering about a couple of things you were working on. Did you ever finish the extended, oversized fly screen you were working on for the XB_S? If so, do you have any pics? Also, did you ever get the crossroad bars with the zero degree down angle on the clip ons? If so, do you have pics and a review ? Thanks! |

Mac you might want to ask Al the question on his Sponsor section. |

Oh no! It's the dreaded hotlink to American Sportbike imbedded in a thread title again! |

Mark, The screen is at the toolers, has been for a few weeks, should pop out in a couple weeks. I opted to make the hump symmetrical, and will come up with the final edge profile when the I get the first article in CF in. The flat crossroads bars are in, and they are all I'd hoped for. The 1/2" higher is nice, and the .65" per side narrower makes a big difference too. I put 350 miles on them over Oktoberfast, and was very pleased with the seating position, very neutral weight on the wrists. REALLY noticeable during hard braking due to the arm splay angle reduction. I posted a week ago, $120 for replacement bars for anyone that bought the originals from American Sport Bike. The additional width of the larger screen in question will conflict with bars a little. I think the right way to deal with it is to notch the screen away around the bars. Al |
