I was looking round the Internet for frame pucks/sliders for my 99 M2 and saw a photo of a slider replacing the points cover on the cam cover of an X1 , is this a viable alternative as in the event of an accident would it not damage the cam cover and possibly the cam components inside ?or would it be an effective slider and help reduce damage to the bike ?? |

Typically, the headers and bodywork take the hit. I scratched my clutch cover in a lay-down so perhaps that side could use something. |

The clutch side of the X1 had a slider bolted to a bracket bolted to the front of the primary and I think to the exhaust hanger bracket , will have to find it and check.made the clutch side slider look a bit like a front foot peg. |
