I'm installing a CVP carb kit in my S2 carb. I pulled the emulsion tube and the needle jet was stuck on the end. I figured it was gummed to it as whacked it with a mallet on my workbench. No dice. It looks like it may be one piece. The stock diagram shows the needle jet separate. It looks to be a stock emulsion tube. What am I missing? It looks like even if I could get it off the tube, the new needle wouldn't be long enough. I may order a needle jet from CVP, they have them on the website. I'll try to get a photo up. Thanks in advance. William |

That's definitely a different needle jet. The stock ones that are two pieces have an entirely different shape to them.you can see the normal shape in this picture.also note the color difference.

Right, I've dealt with cv carbs a good bit and this was new. |

Only thing I can conclude is maybe it's an older Yost power tube? I've seen kits online that look like this emulsion tube. I found the newer Yost kits are two piece tube and needle jet. The needle looked stock, no clips, no shims. The slide hasn't been drilled either. I'm going to order the jet needle from CVP and I should be good to go.
