What do you suppose a 2007 STT in perfect condition with only 4500 miles is worth. And can 2010 3 bearing rear wheels still purchased?

Well, first and foremost to keep in mind is it has a 2007 crankshaft buried inside the engine cases. It'd have to be a hell of a deal for me to buy it. It might be fine for another 70k miles, or it might develop an ominous clank at 30k.

Yes, the wheels are still available: https://sphdonline.com/products/copy-of-g1309-02a8 ybr-genuine-buell-rear-translucent-amber-wheel-fit s-all-xbs-1125s-models

Hugh,
I know that your 2007 engine failed but our 2007 still runs like a top and I personally wouldn't worry about a crankshaft failure if I was interested in an 07 with only 4500 miles. Even if this 07 lasted only 25,000 more miles it would be quite the bike for the coin. I've already got 4 bikes in my garage and 2 are Buells, so I really need another bike like I need a hole in my head.
This STT in question must have been garaged and never rained on because it looks brand new for the most part. I say the most part because it does have an aftermarket fly screen mounted. Even the muffler looks new. It may even have the 3 bearing rear wheel but probably not. Anybody that is interested can see it at Dillon Brother's Harley Davidson in Omaha. I sat on it and fortunately I have fairly good impulse control when it comes to parting with money. I'm sure it can be had for much less than the asking price. Pretty bike for sure.
It sure didn't appear to ever having been in a wreck.

Craig- I'm sure I'm overly gun shy after my ordeal. If you can get it for the right price it'd certainly be worth getting.

I'd like to have it but that is not going to happen. I want an electric bike for tooling around town. We have a new 2017 plug-in hybrid car and love it and a plug-in motorcycle would be perfect. Sick of oil changes and the like. Like the zero bikes but seems like they are for smaller folks that myself. Maybe Harley's LiveWire bike will come along just in time. No breath holding here though.

And I put that link so other's can snap this bike up since I would just as soon not be tempted when I visit Dillon Brothers again. They also had a Buell Firebolt available.

That is a cool looking bike, and the asking price is very reasonable.
My Uly is an '07, no crank problem. But I admit that if I'd known about the '07 crank issues, I would have had second thoughts.

Craig, haven't you purchased motorcycles from Dillon Bros before? Since you're just buying the bike outright with. I trade in, I'd shoot them an offer of $2500 and see if they would take it! I would love to have a STT for city and short rides but I can't afford one right now.

Donald,
Purchased both my 06' ULY and my son's 07' ULY from Dillon Brothers. They sell a shiite load of motorcycles and have no problem dealing on price. I am not buying the STT because I've got a one stall garage and 4 bikes and a car in it already. If they called me and offered to sell it for 2500 then I would certainly be sorely tempted. Heck that might be more than I could resist. Though I haven't heard it run, I have seen and sat on it and it looks pristine. The seat looks like a Corbin but the dealer said it was stock. Pretty much looks like a lower sprung ULY with the same front fender and it looked to me like it was shod with D616 tires with little discernible wear. Real nice looking bike.

I bought a 2010 Wheel for St Paul HD. They put it together for extra $55 and shipped to me.
Wheel bearing failures are behind now...I never had one anyway..but good feeling.

That is a two bearing rear wheel in the STT.

Ourdee,
Thanks. That should give any knowledge driven buyer more leverage. It's a great looking bike.
