I'm planning how I'm going to set up my SX, once I get it. I'm going to get a set of 1" drop Knight Design footpegs similar to the foot pegs on the Black Lightning. However, Knight Design doesn't list anything for EBR on their website. I sent an e mail asking which pegs were used on the Black Lightning, and got a reply that made no sense and gave no information. So my question is: are the SX footpegs the same as 1125 footpegs? Will the 1125 pegs be an exact fit, or will they need any modifications? My goal is to reproduce a Black Lightning, as far as footpeg and handlebar and seat placement. I found the Black Lightning to have nearly ideal ergonomic positioning for me. But I can't seem to find anybody who will answer my questions. It's frustrating, for sure. |

Crusty- check out this post at EBRforum.com. This guy installed 2 inch drop KD foot pegs on his SX. From what he posted in a different thread, these are the pegs for the Buell 1125. He removed a significant amount of material from each peg to make them fit properly: http://ebrforum.com/showthread.php?1244-Knight-Des ign-2-quot-drop-foot-pegs-installed |

You said the reply made no sense. Would you be able to share with us what they said in their reply? |

Sure. Here's the body of the message: We have sold footpegs for the new EBR bike customer. We have several in stock. I’m forwarding your request on the 1190SX to our Engineer. It may take me a day or two but I will reply. I got that a week ago, and haven't heard a thing since. And, since somebody is probably going to ask, here's the message I sent them: I fell in love with the EBR Black Lightning when I sat on it at the New York IMS. Now, EBR has stopped production and no Black Lightnings were produced. I plan to purchase an 1190SX and modify it to the ergonomics of the Black Lightning. It pretty obvious that you folks made the footpegs. Can you tell me what pegs to order when I get my SX and what the price is? |

For those interested, here is the official part number direct from Knight Design. 1" drop foot pegs, black, Sidetrax tread for Buell Black Lightning PN# 101410-1110 I like how they call it a Buell still...I mean kinda... They arrive tomorrow. I'll post pics up here of them installed. Should be no grinding away of the peg necessary. |

129.99 for the pair, same as their other pegs. Tread is nice and sharp.... Sharper than it looked in the pictures. |

Installed. Fit like a glove, no grinding needed. Only issue I see happening is the spring will wear on the black anodizing.

The 1" drop is just right when combined with my custom seat which is 1/2" taller. |
