I don't THINK I need to dig through anything . . . . I think I know whose bike that was. I could be wrong. |

I saw that one on craigslist. Nice looking bike. For those of us who haven't been around as long, who is the lady in the picture? I'm assuming by king/queen, it could be Erik's wife? |

It's Karen Davidson . . . Willie G and Nancy's daughter and Bill's sister. We built her a "Black Lightning" (you wondered where the name came from, right?) when she was V.P. of Fashion or something like that at Harley-Davidson. Later on, and I'd have to confirm, I think another was built for Flick. Nice looking bike. |

"It's Karen Davidson . . . Willie G and Nancy's daughter and Bill's sister." I guess we had different ideas of who should be considered the king... I'll withhold all of my sarcastic comments about H.D. having a VP of Fashion. |

>>>>I'll withhold all of my sarcastic comments about H.D. having a VP of Fashion. If you'd made over $1M on the stock of a company that made more profit on t-shirts and halter tops than Apple has on iPads . . . . you'd understand. :-) |

Hybrid, there may be a little more knowledge letting, we will see if Court can confirm what I figured out from several sources. Upthe, you may be kicking yourself for not going after this one shortly, it is not the bike Court is talking about but it does have a story to it. Court, back when I only had one or 2 you gave me the VINs for this special group of (BOC) bikes that the black sheep belongs to, I think you could entrust the knowledge of Carrol's bikes VIN to me as well! |

OK now that the transaction has been significantly completed here is the story.
I was perusing Craigslist (I swear S1W was my only keyword) a couple days ago when this bike caught my eye. The things that I noticed were first the black air cleaner (who besides the Ring Brothers paints carbon fiber?), and then what looked like holes in the rear fairing (wow could it really), catch can it the right place(...) and the front motor mount (hmmm)... then another pic showed a white sticker on the brake reservoir(WOW!!yes it is!) I was pretty sure I knew what the bike had formally been. After talking to the owner and asking for the VIN i compared it to my list, it did not match but was the XXX49 to the xxx50 and xxx51 that are confirmed BOC bikes. After another conversation in which I decided to fully explain my intimate knowledge of the bikes in order to get some more info the owner was all the more for me owning the bike when he saw the others on here, He also sent me the following picture from last year. The guy I bought it from and the last 3 owners had all passed on the story that it was Scott Parker had raced the bike but had no hard evidence. A previous owner has the windscreen and number plates as he is a huge S Parker fan, hopefully, they may be reunited with the bike, sadly it had been repainted less than a year ago. (though I do know who originally made the decals and will have to get some more. My notes from old articles show that Scott's bike was sold on the day of the race to a couple from a couple miles from where the bike currently is, though the transaction does include the bike being delivered so he can see the bikes stablemates. At this rate, I may have them all together before the races 30th anniversary!
And here is some background and the rabbit hole of previous installments: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/47623/752401.html?1416058222 |

Too cool. I was just reading the battle2win with the BOC and RW750report in it wondering where the BOC bikes were now. There's a lot of nice tubers showcased in the B2W mags that I wonder if are still around. |

I know one that's sitting right here . . . first Buell to circle the U.S.A. . . . now retired (with a brand new 111 RWHP motor) after visiting 44 states.

Hybrid- I am pretty sure it is a sign added on the other side for a parade or something, it will be a little while before I see it in person. |
