Yes as xbolt12 states, mine flashes also when the idle dips low enough, am thinking of reinstalling mine in the tail section ,so's I don have to take the seat off every time to play with it, there is enough cable to do so,should have done it in the beginning. |

Crap! Why didn't I think of that? Oh well, even though the TFI is tiny, it might not fit with my wallet, cell phone, and lock.

Mine is under rear seat.fits neatly & easy to get to.so flashing is normal? |

Aztec, is all good, I dunno if it was just you, but some people do just ask questions without reading the whole thread, so it just starts to bug a little sometimes if the same Q keeps coming up. I was feeling a little grumpy, been laid up for 5 weeks and haven't been able to ride... You know how it is. Now I get to ride and I've lost all Bike Fitness (if you can believe there is such a thing)... Anyhow, that's my excuse. Basically I'm just having a winge about how sore and tired I am.
I'll just crawl back under my rock now. |

Cool trench... I've been following the whole thread and didn't see if his check engine light was STILL coming on or it was just at one time. I want to get the race ecm to get rid of the stepper motor so I can get the fast system without the light coming on..... as well as get the TFI. I'd run the stock ecm and TFI if I could get the engine light NOT to come on when the stepper motor comes out. Anyway, no hard feelings dude. Let me know if you have a solution to my prob. |

Save your money dude. No need to get the Race ECM. I think Opto's circuit to replace to motor will work just fine. If not it can always be tweaked. I'll be making one as soon as I get a chance and I'll post results. For now I have to study for an exam

They list them for 248 dollars on their site. If you get enough people together, will they give volume discount? |

Dave, me too please.
I also have a race kit I need to get rid of. filter/ecm/pipe. My pipe is black?? The previous owner painted the pipe black?? it has only 5k miles on it and a small dent, half dollar size, on the very bottom of the front. The can works great, but I put a D&D on it 3k miles ago. I also want to sell the D&D as I am getting a new force system and some other engine work. |

What does a xb9 race ecm cost new and what do they generally sell for 2nd hand?
I'm trying to determine if it's worthwhile to sell it on ebay, but prices over here are generally a lot higher so ...
