Time to let my baby go. 1999 Buell Cyclone approx 19,800 miles (still riding, daily commuter) Original Owner - purchased in 99 from Lancaster HD in PA Currently in Metro DC area / Maryland. Willing to deliver up to 25 miles, or come and get it. condition - 5/10 (would be a 7/10 if it didn't have a leaker rear shock) upgrades: billet M2 dash with tach (the buell one that is very hard to find) "y" front exhaust hanger stage 1 jet kit K&N air filter New style isolators installed 5000 miles ago along with belt and primary chain tensioner, all purchased from Al at American Sportbike also upgraded rear brake disc to EBR wave, front rotor was replaced in 2000 with a factory rotor due to manufacture defect in first one, warranty front forks were replaced about 12K ago with OEM still in the box forks - still like new! You can have the original ones too. rear shock has been replaced twice!!!! with OEM units, once was a warranty recall unit in 2004 then a replacement still in the box again back in 2008. the unit just started leaking last fall, it is minimal but I've seen the signs... replaced Front master cylinder/brake lever as a whole unit in 2008 with nissin OEM unit. front screen was replaced with a carbon fiber unit, I don't have the original anymore. I'll include a Buell front tank bag, with all its 18 year wear and tear, but still straps secure to the bike. I also have the tank bra, with all its 18 year sun faded glory. Tank itself has most of the wear and tear, I had low speed gravel slide thanks to a garbage truck and my gravel driveway when I lived in NY. Some bubbling is just starting to occur, and the "B" is missing on the left side. seat is in excellent condition - no tears or wear. small scuff on air box - no damage but the plastic tends to get a little shiny where it scraped There is some rust spots on the frame, but no rust deterioration. I used to live on Nantucket, then moved to East end of Long Island, so the salt air has always been a companion. recent work done: bore and honed both cylinders. replaced all valves new head bolts were placed in this job, the old ones were a bit rusty. replaced gaskets from base cylinder to top end replaced primary chain adjuster with upgraded unit new battery tray new batter Oct 2016 - HD battery replaced all external oil lines installed upgraded oil pump gear (bought from American Sport Bike) new style isolators installed in 2014 new belt installed in 2014 Shinko sport touring tires on with about 2500 - 3000 miles left on them. I can send pics if you email me. |

forgot: asking $2500 OBO lots of $$$ invested on the cylinder and valve job. gaskets were from Al at American Sport Bike - don't remember the brand but he said they were the best ones for the job. |

Sorry - no boring of cylinders, replaced piston rings and honed the cylinders. front isolator, new design was also installed in that job. also have OEM handguards (designed for ulysses) which fit perfect. used HD oil since new, and sport-trans in the primary until two years ago switched to Syn3 in all cavities. Last oil change I went to Mobil 1 to try it out. tons of other work was done and I might remember more if you ask... |
