Got my 99 X1 down for some work at the moment and I'm told that with 130,000 KM (80 odd thousand miles), it's a good idea to change the lifters. Problem is they are listed as obsolete. Which aftermarket lifters are recommended? Any experience out there? |

Aren't they just the same as sportster lifters? |

Are they the same as the XB? I used the melling lifters from my local autoparts store. Looked identical except for a small difference the size of a hole in a shim, but it's easy to disassemble and move the plate over to the new ones. And I doubt it would really matter anyway. They are the same as the "old style" lifters, that many people prefer to the "upgraded" HD part. I think I posted all the parts numbers and such over in the knowledge vault. |

I made a thread for you in the Knowledge vault, since there wasn't one there already (at least not a succinct one). http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/show .cgi?tpc=3842&post=2579333#POST2579333 |
