I don't have all the details, but I'll share what I've harvested from others (thanks Mark Weiss). http://roadstercycle.com/ They sell a MOSFET voltage regulator kit, and allegedly also a mounting plate, to put a good third party standard regulator on the XB platform without a lot of fuss. Some pictures from Mark on the install...   Roadster sounds like a mom and pop shop, so I'm sure a phone call could get you what you need quickly. Share it here if you learn anything helpful. | ||

That plate shown in the pictures above is from Roadster, and is called a "universal mounting kit". Simple and clever. | ||

Maybe not necessary info ,but i wanted to know. So asked Roadster cycles about these vr's And he said the ones used for the xb bikes works also for the tubers. | ||
