I found my idler wheel was hitting the exhaust outlet Check to make sure everything is tight and in the right place before you start bending things. Our bikes are the same except for the belt style, so check to make sure everything's OK first. Jeez, a 'puter geek givin' advise to a mechanic... You're way ahead of me I'm sure! |

If I can get my tire put on I will be up for a ride in the real twistys on Sunday. I think it has been tooooo darn long since my last mountain ride and all of us need to get our fix. I say lets do it! Glitch, I did check the fit and finish, the can had been tightened down too much either before or when I put it on and it had crushed a little causing the rear to sit higher than normal. A little tweaking was all that was needed. Everything is ok now. Oh yeah, it sounded really cool in the shop this morning echoing off the walls and all, next stop, parking garage!!! Car alarms beware!! |

B_S, you are not the only one with factory exhaust Stealth and Fran_Dog still have factory cans as well. Before you buy you need to hear Glitches bike, I does sound really good. |

Blaster_s... I am getting tires and service on Saturday so riding is going to have to be reserved for Sunday for me this weekend. |

I'll have a pic of the new bars up here soon. They look and feel pretty good... Next on my list is the 12 airbox cover and K&N. And I also sent a message to Odie asking about a certain mod... |

crushed a little Ooops...my bad... Landed a wheelie a little hard once... OK...twice... At the very least we have the Vortex on Thursday. Right now my weekend is...well...I dunno... Sunday is usually the best day for me, although I have been known to get my days confused resulting in riding all weekend! |

Thursday might be out for me cause I might have to work the gym. My tires probably have a couple of runs left in them so I will be a bit puckered up in the twisties. Sunday will probably work for me. Saturday is the gym work thing again. New12r...I have spoke with Glitch and Odie. Glitch...can you meet somewhere tonight around 7:00/7:30? This might be my only free night this whole week. |

B_S: Just got back from Cycle Gear. Pretty cool place. I picked up some new boots and a bag for my seat. I was gonna get the handlebar but I'm tapped. My wife already says I spend more on the bike than on her...LOL. (Message edited by blaster_s on October 18, 2004) |

Stealth, if ya get you a good set of leathers, all you'll need is a balaclava, long johns, boots, and good gloves, and you're good to go year 'round. |

For winter riding I highly recommend Patagonia's Capilene line of base layer clothing. It breaths and keeps you warm. I use it for all my winter sports and have found that is works wonders under my riding gear in the winter. The big problem with winter activities is that you typically bundle up, get hot and sweat. Well once your sweat gets cold it's all over and you won't stay warm to save your life. The Capilene pulls the moisture away from your skin and keeps you warm and dry http://www.patagonia.com/design/capilene_main.shtml |

Yea Glitch... I have my eyes on the SpeedMaster leathers, but I cannot fork over the dough right now. So I figured I would get these pants: http://www.joerocket.com/catalog05/us/product.cfm?pid=472 And some UnderArmour to keep me warm and "Under Armour has engineered the ultimate Moisture Transport System in garments that slide over your body like a second-skin to keep you cool, dry and light throughout the course of a game or workout." Ya'll gotta check this out: http://content.collegehumor.com/media/movies/whyhandguns.wmv *Caution: Explicit Language (Message edited by stealthxb on October 18, 2004) |

Stealth, don't buy from Fast Trax if you go through the Joe Rocket web site. That's who I got my Speed Master pants from, the ones I waited for forever! Check out newenough dot com, they're having a big sale on some good stuff, Joe Rocket is on sale there as well. |

New Enough (don't let the name fool ya) has the Atomic jeans for $75 and the Steel denim jeans for $65. I like dealing with Paul, he's honest and ships on time. He's probably the ONLY person I've dealt with that's batting a thousand. New Enough Rocks! |

Blaster_s...I know what you mean since the wifey started her masters I have been cut off from expensive mods for now. Stealth...I got my joe rocket pants from www.powersports4less.com they are always running sales and the regular prices are cheaper than most. You don't have to pay shipping on anything over $100 (I think). I'd pop a cap in his arse faster than he could say "ebonics" Glitch...that might work. Let me call you when I get home around 6:00/6:30 and let you know for sure. Email me your cell. |
