Is there such a thing as Bosch equivalent parts numbers for the fuel injectors in 9Rs and 12R ? I'm looking for an injector with more max flow (about 30) | ||

I was told that using the "Red Injectors" from H-D Twin Cam big twins has a higher flow rate, but I haven't looked into this yet. I am still trying to find flow rate numbers for the stock injectors as a base for the research. Admittedly I haven't looked that hard since at the moment its not a priority for me. | ||

i thought i could find the numbers.. but i stopped looking because i was finding only not very cooperative people..and people who sold bs. just buy a pare off race injectors from racingmotorcycles.com they have figured it out | ||

Jens recommends the BMW1150 injectors for the XB9. Don't know about the XB12. | ||

Thanks. I heard that the BMW injectors were the hot ticket, but I'm looking to support 120BHP, not just a slightly tricked atmo motor. Since I only have car injector information, I need to find a little common ground to do a proper comparison. Anybody have the Bosch number for the BMW squirts? | ||

The injectors will have to work less. Theoretically, the larger injector will be able to dump more fuel in less time during the timing point making less fuel caught out behind the closing valve. Where the larger injector helps is say I put a Force Pipe, F.A.S.T intake on my bike with the stock ECM. The larger injectors will give the ECM a larger range to play with. They alone can provide the extra fuel to go with the better breathing without having to worry so much about running lean. | ||

With the stock ecm, would that not make the closed loop area too rich or am I missing something? | ||

The ecm in closed loop will try to get the A/F ratio back to stoich, the AFV will change. | ||

In addition to what Opto said, during closed loop the ecm uses the O2 sensor as it's primary source for calculating the A/F ratio to get it close to stoichiometric. | ||

yep thats tru, but if you build a engine who needs way more fuel ( a lean a/f and not further self adjusteble trough the injectors max flow ) bigger injectors would sertenly work out gr,b | ||

I think that BMW 1150 injectors are Bosch part 0280 150 784 Can anybody confirm this as they do not appear in my table of injectors (admittedly from an MR2 site!)? The stats for the XB9r injectors would be useful, too, for comparison purposes. | ||

Once you start getting up in HP, you NEED the high pressure fuel pressure regulator more than injectors - or it just won't matter WHAT the fuel controller is asking for if your pump can't get it there. | ||

Stock injector flow rate - anyone know what the flow rate of the stock xb12 injectors is? (Buell P/N P0026.1AA). I'm looking for this info to get a starting point for the megasquirt FI that I want to try out soon on my 12. Any info appreciated. |
