Pretty interesting comments.Because by 1986 we were seeing the first generation EVO Sportster engines and THIS is still basically a previous Shovelhead (XR) design. And Court teases us/w Blueprints |

Nice!! i remember the xr1000 new, the pipes were high, i think the RR1000 pipes would be easy to live with, wish the ol tube frame thunderbolt m2 had the pipes like that but drawback would be the cam set not easy to come by. but with a pipe like that i could run duel about same length as stock sporty. How does the 4 speed in the RR1000 stand up? |

I would wager the 4speed would fare a bit worse than a normally tuned iron motor. Most likely the weak link here. |
