I was doing okay for 'almost' three months, I thought, but I'm starting to miss my Uly, as Ourdee said I would. Last night, while trying to get to sleep, I was reminiscing about blowing past bikes in the Black Hills on my way to Newcastle, Wy., on my ride home to south Texas from Sturgis. Man, was Buell spot on, or what, with their 'Own The Curves' signature line? Hey, I have two great bikes, one in particular, but . . . . Give Ourdee some respect folks. He not only helps the annual reunion a lot, he is a bit of a soothsayer. |

A round trip flight to CVG is probably under $200 on Southwest. Tell me when you will be at the airport, and I'll have the bike ready and waiting for you, and hand you a map to the Bourbon Trail, and you can tell me when to come back and pick up the bike. The Cherohola isn't that far either. Or go north and take a lap around the upper peninsula in Michigan. (I'm dead serious...) |

Thank you, Bill. I have no doubt whatsoever that you are dead serious. Thanks for that Kentucky Bourbon Trail map too. Very cool. I'll hang on to that. Hey, I'm working through my Uly 'thing'. I went on a great ride on my Sportster Custom yesterday, changed both oils when I got home, cleaned it up real well and felt better. It's a one day at a time thing, I know, and so far I'm doing okay. Thanks again for the gracious offer, Bill. You warned me, Ourdee. Thank you too. As the current saying goes, my bad. |

The distilleries are nice tours, the people are great, and the roads around them are fantastic. You can take your choice of lower traffic divided highways, single lane highways, or "who in their right mind would have decided to pave this" goat trails between pretty much any two points on that map. Then when you do need to just bail and get home, the interstates aren't far. There is a great ferry across the Ohio River that is neat to take on a bike as well, near Maysville I think. |
