Hello all. Very interesting info here. Fantastic source of buell info. I have a 07 uly that displayed ecm issues. So i bought a new ecu on ebay. When it arrived, I installed it but did not work. Bike start for a few seconds and die. Is it possible to require a ecm programming? Both ecm have the jumper in the middle. My bike has no acm, so i made an emulator to stop code 21 from ecm. It is not quite working, but i don't think this is making the bike to die. Any other ideas? |

Hi, If you fit a different ecm, you will have to do a TPS reset so the new ECM can understand where the throttle sensor is relative to itself. It only understands where its old TPS is, think of them as a matched pair. Regards Mark. |

I believe that if it's a new ECM, it needs to have a program (parameters) "flashed" into it. (this is my understanding) Also, the TPS reset. (Message edited by arry on September 22, 2016) |
