Is there any harm uploading a race map to a stock 2006 xb12x? No mods, bone stock. |

I have the '07 airbox with stock '07 Eprom. I've loaded '06 and '07 race maps (ignition and fuel) on my '06 Ulysses. Butt dyno did not detect a difference, so I put the stock '07 maps back. I do recommend doing the treadmarks square idle mode to the stock fuel maps. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/142 838/323610.html?1197645760 |

And take a look at the 3000-4000 rpm area at 100% and 69%, in my experience the stock maps have a lean area here. Map should "flow" numbers getting larger with rpm and throttle position in these areas.Remember, the map numbers are based on 255 bits of fuel being max so probably not going to need 225 bits at say 1900 rpm. |

Did they lean it out there to get by emissions? |

Will look at shop, or send me a copy of your current and I will take a look at it. The most important thing is to get the learned fuel area dialed in so it does not skew the rest of map if it has a weird cell. Can only do on dyno or by logging with wideband. Did quick dial in for a guy this afternoon on an 06 XB-9, and it definitely had the lean area big time! |
