I couldn't decide if I should post this here or in the DIY section (since I did this myself!) I changed mufflers on my '08 XB12R and wanted to turn off the exhaust valve. With Tunerpro, I pulled down the program from my ECM, switched the value (Flags) for the exhaust valve and reloaded the program to the ECM. The process appeared to go smoothly. Now starts my trouble. I cycled the key and attempted to pull down the new tune from the ECM, this returned a checksum error. It didn't give me any additional info on where the error occurred. I also haven't tried to start the bike. I 10 years experience tuning Megasquirt, but a complete noob on TunerPro. Has anybody run into this checksum issue before? How fatal of an error is this? Any recovery suggestions? Thanks for the help guys and gals! 2008 XB12R BUE2D |

I tried reloading the tune tonight, Tunerpro instantly returns an upload success. If I try to download the tune I instantly get a success if I download to Tunerpro. If I download to file I instantly get a ram dump failure. The ECM type is now reported as a BTE2D. Any thoughts? |
