I have read that you can swap a rear pulley from a xB 9 or 12 (04 or newer) to a 1125r. xB stock is 65 1125 stock 70. Has anyone done or seen this done? |

While the pulley will bolt right on, given the difference in tooth count the belt will be way too loose. You would need to find some way to properly take up the slack. I've seen people swap between R and CR pulleys, but never with the XB one. Personally I don't see why one would, the stock R gearing is on the tall side as it is, it would be taller with the smaller XB pulley. |

Well when you ride with alot of inline 4's you got the low end on them easy but they get away from you in the top end so I am ok with giving up a little take off for a higher top end |

The stock 1125R pulley could take you to 172 MPH depending on your horsepower. Going to a steeper gear ratio may be disappointing. If you want to give the 4's a run for their money, go to the 1125CR pulley and it will get you to over 160 MPH pretty quick, but that is the top speed of the CR. |

Nevermind the alignment/offset issue. ... I guess you could shim out an XB pulley with a stack of washers on each bolt. it would do is make your first gear REALLY tall and you're gonna run out of hp of road before you get up to top speed. Are you trying to set land speed records? If not; How often are you/should you be going above 150mph? are you trying to keep up with a 'Busa or the equally formidable Gixxer one-millionz? |

Well I ride with 2 busa's 2 s100rr a few zx10 and some r1. First 2-3 gears not a problem but 4 and up I don't stand a chance. Just looking to add a little something extra to help me keep up. I have a Barker's exhaust with a map for the exhaust. (saving for the ebr Barker ECM) k&n filter. Is there anything else I could add to help me get a little more of an edge. I know I won't be able to smoke the busa or the s1000rr but I have seen 1125r's take out r1's and zx10's. |

Making your gearing taller will only decrease top end acceleration while increasing top speed. Shorter gearing will increase acceleration while decreasing top end. How often do you go over 150? |

The 1125CR gear ratio will out accelerate the 1125R because it is geared lower than the R. Consider using the 1125CR pulley set up. It is a direct replacement and will improve your acceleration. Steeper gears will slow your acceleration down. |

Every other week we have race nights, so every other week I am going over 150, 2 weeks ago it red lined at 157 with a map tuned for the Barker exhaust. I have been trying to find a better map until I can get the ecm. |

I want to thank you and your kind for making our insurance so much higher than it needs to be. People in need of organs will also thank you. |

Puzzled ran an 08 1125 drag bike, and he did a pretty good write up about his build |

157 sounds low, without pulling out my Calculator that sounds like the CR top speed, I've seen videos of R's hitting 170. Are you sure you got the stock gearing and accurate speedometer? |

I would have to do another run with a GPS to make sure the speedo is right, but yes other than exhaust air filter and map everything is stock. That's what I was thinking, it seems really low. I am changing the spark plugs tonight and going to try again tomorrow. Maybe the map is throwing it off, I can always go back to a stock map and see if that works. |

Also does anyone know were I would be able to find a good map to use with a Barkers exhaust. I have heard great things about the fuel solutions one but there site is not up anymore. Just want to improve the performance as much as I can until I get my ebr ecm. |

You might have not have been in top gear If it redlined at 157 |

Well then your ecm's map that's tuned for your barkers exhaust is wrong. Or you're riding an XB9R with an 1125R full fairing kit |

Which is what I was thinking, you know of anywhere I can get a good map? |

How about a EBR ECM map tuned for a Barker |

Ya, that will be the end goal but Money is a little on the tight side atm so was looking to find a tried and proven good map. Been getting them from the buell tooth site but obviously they arnt that great. |

There's a few programs that will let you remap your own ecm. I think tuner pro should work for you, but you'll need the cable to go from the bike to the computer |

If I have the buell tooth would that work with the tuner pro program? If not would any rotax cable work? I can get my hands on a rotax cable pretty easy |

See my info about what programs to use here: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/290 431/699069.html?1354060840 Since EBR is no longer selling Barker-tuned ECMs, I will probably share the files from my 1125R. |

I'm thinking your speedometer is wrong. You likely flashed a calibration for an 1125CR at some point, as that has a redline of 156MPH in 6th gear. The R tops out at 170MPH in 6th. Get into 6th gear and hold it at 4000RPM, it should be 65MPH indicated. If it says 60MPH, your ECM is set to the 1125CR gearing. If you have some kind of GPS mounted up you can confirm its accuracy too. Regardless of speedometer accuracy, the problem is you need more power and need to go faster for these races. I'd get in touch with EBR, you are going to want a chain conversion to get a taller rear sprocket, and the 1190cc kit would give you a good bump too. Might be worth picking up an 1190RX instead, some leftover 2014/15 models are still floating around at $10k |

Sounds about right. 4.5 is just north of 75 iirc. You need a good tune. not really any options aside from EBR or IDS. Both about the same price. Regardless if you are only topping out at 157 you are having some other issues. Have you checked to see if your clutch is slipping? |

Make sure you butterfly valves are opening fully. the clamps that hold the throttle body on can interfere with it opening. |

Put your 1125 in diag mode and check to make sure your tps is reading all the way to 100. If not the hose or clamps mentioned above may be interfering with the tb's. |

I took the air box all the way off the other night the rubber gasket that sits around the throttle body had folded under in one spot a littler bit so I took that off tried it again and got to 169. I guess the rear wasnt opening all the way. (Message edited by wrenchtk on August 30, 2016) |
